Registration Now Open for Ultimate Tailgate Championship

SALT LAKE CITY-Registration is now open for the annual Ultimate Tailgate Championship that precedes the Red-White spring football game, scheduled this year for Saturday, Apr. 23 in Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Registration for the tailgate competition is free and is now open at UtahUtes.com. The direct link to register and for general information is http://www.utahutes.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/2016-ultimate-tailgate.html.
Available tailgate spaces range from four to 12 parking stalls. Space fills up quickly, so fans are advised to register early. Tailgating will take place in the west lot of Rice-Eccles Stadium starting at 6:00 am on April 23. The Red-White game starts at 12 p.m. It will be preceded by a MUSS flag football game at 10 a.m. and an Alumni game at 11 a.m. All events are free to the public.
Tailgate participants will receive a free gift upon check-in and additional prizes will be raffled off throughout the day to registered tailgaters.
There will be two grand prize categories-Ultimate Tailgate Champion and Food Champion-awarded this year and the winners of both competitions will be recognized at halftime of the Red-White game. Competitions will be judged by a panel of local celebrity judges.
The Ultimate Tailgate Champion is selected for the best overall tailgate spread and atmosphere. All registered tailgaters are automatically entered in this competition. The second (optional category) is the Food Competition, which will determine the best tailgate appetizer. You must indicate your participation in the food competition when registering.
