Spring Camp Concludes with Red-White Game
Utah's 2016 spring football camp wraps up this week. The team will practice on Tuesday (open to the public, 3-5 p.m. in Rice-Eccles Stadium) and Thursday (closed) before holding the 13th-annual Red-White game in Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, Apr. 23 at noon. Admission is free to the Red-White game, as well as the MUSS and Alumni games that precede it. The Red-White game will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks and will also be aired on ESPN700 radio.Red-White Event Schedule

Ride the Train to the Game

The Red-White game will feature 10-minute quarters with a standard clock in the first half and a running clock in the second half. There will be an eight-minute halftime ... There will be no punt returns or kickoff returns ... Kickoffs will be placed at the 35-yard line and punts will be marked at the spot of the fair catch ... After a score of any type, if the scoring team is behind by more than 10 points, it will retain possession of the ball ... The defense will be restricted to its base 4-3, cover two package with four down linemen, three linebackers and four defensive backs. The offense has no limitations to its formations.In the Huddle
Two first-year assistants were appointed as the head coaches of the Red and White teams. The head coach of the Red team will be wide receivers coach Guy Holliday and the head coach of the White team will be tight ends coach Fred Whittingham Jr. ... Assistant coaches for the Red team are Aaron Roderick, Dennis Erickson, Sharrieff Shah and Lewis Powell. White team assistants are Jim Harding, Morgan Scalley and Justin Ena ... The teams will be selected later this week in a draft by the coaches ... Some of the specialists will play for both teams.Halftime Presentation
During halftime, the winners of the 2016 Ultimate Tailgate and Food Competition for Best Tailgate Appetizer will be introduced on the field.
