SAN FRANCISCO - Two Utah's men's tennis student-athletes, Matt Cowley and David Micevski, were selected as All Pac-12 competitors this afternoon.
Cowley, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region's Most Improved Player, received honorable mention status after going 23-16 in singles action last season.
Cowley also went 15-6 in doubles action during the spring with Dan Little as the Utes top duo ranked No. 75 in the nation.
Micevski won his first seven matches in the spring and finished with a 17-5 singles record, 5-2 in Pac-12 action, mainly from the No. 2 position.
The freshman also went 7-3 in doubles play, primarily paired with Johan Jonhagen.
Utah has had four student-athletes earn All Pac-12 status since joining the conference in 2012, which was also the only other time Utah had multiple honorees.
Slim Hamza was a three-time All Pac-12 selection, while Cowley and Micevski join Dmytro Mamedov (2012) as first-time recipients.
