SALT LAKE CITY—Jordan Agasiva, an offensive lineman from Honolulu, Hawaii (Pima Community College) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Utah in 2017. Agasiva is the second midyear JC transfer to sign with the Utes, joining safety Corrion Ballard of Humble, Texas (Blinn College). Ballard has already enrolled in classes at the U.

Agasiva (pronounced on-gah-see-vah) earned first-team all-region honors at Pima as a sophomore and was a two-time first-team All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference honoree. He also was a two-time All-Western States Football League pick, earning first-team honors as a sophomore. He was a two-time first-team all-state selection during his prep career at Miliani High School in Hawaii.

Agasiva signed with the Utes on Jan. 6, while Ballard officially committed on the first day of the midyear JC signing period on Dec. 14. The midyear JC signing period ends on Jan. 15.
