TULSA, Okla. – Utah suffered a pair of losses on the first day of the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships.
In singles action,
David Micevski lost to Clement Marzol of South Alabama, 1-6, 7-6, 4-6. The Ute junior will move into the consolation bracket and be paired against Mississippi State's Strahinja Rakic, the No. 8 seed in the event.
Micevski then paired with
Dan Little in doubles action but the Ute duo was defeated by Connor Curry and Artem Kapshuk off Texas Tech, 3-6, 4-6.
With Micevski now in the consolation bracket, Little will wait for the main draw to begin on Thursday before he plays again. The London native is currently rated as the No. 80 singles player in the nation.
