U. Athletics Joins in Hurricane Relief Drive

Donations Being Accepted Through Oct. 7
SALT LAKE CITY—The University of Utah and Utah Athletics are partnering with trucking company ShipEx in a Hurricane Relief Drive this week to assist people impacted by recent hurricanes. Donation stations will be set up in various campus parking lots all week leading up to the Utah-Stanford football game on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 8:15 p.m.

Weekday donations should be dropped off at a 53-foot trailer located in the Rice-Eccles Stadium southwest parking lot from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. On Saturday, the donation sites will shift to nine other locations around campus, where Pods will be situated from 3:15 p.m.-8:15 p.m. See campus map PDF for Pod locations.

ShipEx will transport the donations to the Red Cross in Texas and Florida. Preferred items to donate include bottled water, new sheets and blankets, new clothing, food storage items, dog and cat food, non-perishable food items, baby formula and diapers.

Several local radio stations will be doing live remotes from the stadium all week to assist with the hurricane drive. Their days, times and DJs are listed below.
