PROVO – Utah Men's Tennis defeated Brigham Young University in a very competitive match with a 4-2 win over the Cougars.

Utah earned the early edge by taking the doubles point. Dan Little and Joe Woolley defeated Jacob Sullivan and John Pearce, 6-3 at the No. 1 position, while Slava Shainyan and Santiago Sierra defeated Keaton Cullimore and Sam Tullis, 6-3 at the No. 3 spot.

In singles action, Dan Little was dominant Jeremy Bourgeois 6-3, 6-2, at the No. 2 position. Competing at the No. 1 spot, David Micevski cruised to a victory over Keaton Cullimore, 6-4, 7-5. Joe Woolley then finished things off for the night for the Utes at the No. 5 position, defeating John Pearce 6-1, 1-6, 6-2.

The Utes will be back in action this Sunday, as they will take a road trip up to Boise State. Competition is set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
