Red-White Spring Game is Saturday at 11 a.m.

Just Three Sessions Remain in 2017 Spring Camp

Last Full Week of Camp
Three days remain in Utah's 2017 spring football camp including a scrimmage on Tuesday, Apr. 11 and the 16th-annual Red-White game on Saturday, Apr. 15. Both Tuesday's scrimmage (3 p.m.) and the spring game on Saturday (11 a.m.) are free and open to the public in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Camp will conclude with a closed practice on Apr. 18.
 
Red-White Game
All seating will be general admission at Saturday's Red-White game. Leading up to kickoff will be a MUSS flag football game at 9 a.m. and an alumni game at 10 a.m. The Red-White game will be televised live on Pac-12 Network and will also be aired on ESPN700 radio.

Fan Fun
Ultimate Tailgate parking this year is on a first-come, first-served basis in Rice-Eccles Stadium's west lot starting at 6 a.m. Saturday. Tailgate stalls will be assigned as either 12 spaces (6x2) or six spaces (3x2). Tailgaters will receive prizes upon check in and free merchandise will be distributed throughout the event … Replacing the food competition this year will be a Fan Experience tent in the west lot that will feature interactive tailgate games. It will open at 6 a.m. and close at 10:30 a.m. … TRAX and UTA routes will provide free transportation to the Red-White game. Click for a printable ticket.
 
Game Format
The game will feature four 10-minute quarters with a standard clock in the first half, a running clock in the second half and an eight-minute halftime. There will be no punt returns or kickoff returns. Kickoffs will be placed at the 35-yard line and punts will be marked at the spot of the catch. If a team scores and is still down by 10 points, it will retain possession of the ball.
 
In the Huddle
Two first-year assistants were appointed as the head coaches of the Red and White teams. The head coach of the Red (home) team will be offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Troy Taylor and the head coach of the White (visiting) team will be running backs coach Kiel McDonald … The Red and White teams will be selected in a draft with the exception of the offensive line. The offensive linemen will play both ways and will wear black jerseys.
