• Utah is set to open the 2018-19 season hosting the College of Idaho Coyotes in an exhibition contest this week. The game is set for Thursday, Nov. 1.
• The Runnin' Utes are coming off a 23-12 campaign from 2017-18, which included an 11-7 and third-place finish in the Pac-12 Conference.
• Utah earned an at-large bid into the NIT a season ago, going 4-1 and making an appearance in the Championship Finals of the tournament.
• Utah returns seven letterwinners and a pair of redshirt freshmen from a season ago, while welcoming a total of nine incoming players, which includes a graduate transfer, two junior college transfers and six incoming freshmen.

Utah will host College of Idaho in exhibition action this Thursday, Nov. 1. Tip-off between the Utes and Coyotes is set for 6 p.m. inside the Huntsman Center.

Thursday's contest will air on the Utah Athletics Radio Network (ESPN 700 AM) with Bill Riley and
Jimmy Soto announcing. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Roxy Bernstein calling the action and Don MacLean providing color commentary.

SCOUTING COLLEGE OF IDAHO
The Coyotes are 2-0 on the season following a pair of season-opening wins against New Hope Christian (88-64) and Salish Kootenai (128-94). Following its exhibition contest against the Utes on Thursday, the Coyotes return to regular-season play the following week, taking on both Lewis-Clark State and Montana State-Northern at the Clearwater River Casino Invite in Lewiston, Idaho.

The Coyotes have five players averaging double-digits through its first two games of the season, but are led by Keun Palu-Thompson's 16.0 points per game. Gibson Berryhill is second on the team with 13.5 points per game and Matt Meyers follows with 13.0 points per contest. Connor Desaulniers and Justing Saunders are both averaging 11.0 points per game.

Thanks to a 124-point outing against Salish Kootenai back on Oct. 13, the Coytoes are averaging 108.0 points per game as a team, while limiting opposing teams to just 79.0 points per game. The Coyotes are shooting .538 from the field, .379 percent from three-point range and .613 from the charity stripe.

UTAH vs. COLLEGE OF IDAHO SERIES HISTORY
Thursday's showdown with College of Idaho will be just the third-ever meeting between the two schools, but the first time to face each other in an exhibition contest. The Utes won the previous two meetings, which included a 115-74 win over the Coyotes back on Dec. 28, 2015, in Salt Lake City. Utah won the first-ever meeting between the two teams, 72-38, back in 2012.
