FIRST SERVE
Utah finishes its four-match homestand against Oregon State on Thursday, October 11 and No. 14 Oregon on Sunday, October 14.
The Utes will be looking for its second Pac-12 victory of the season against Oregon State, who currently is sitting at 0-6 in the conference.
Oregon will play Colorado to start the week, but currently sits at 4-2 in conference. They will be the sixth team this season that Utah will play that is nationally ranked.
SERIES HISTORY
Overall, Utah is 9-11 all time against Oregon State. Despite dropping last year's meeting in Corvallis, Oregon, the Utes had won four in a row over the Beavers before that.
Against Oregon, the Utes are 8-14 after the Ducks swept the matchup last season. Utah is 4-7 all time against Oregon in Salt Lake City.
PROMOTIONS
On Thursday against Oregon State it is Throwback Thursday. Come enjoy throwback tunes and promotions throughout the entire event.
Against Oregon, there is a pre-match clinic held at Crimson Court from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The Kids Zone located in section Q of the arena will open at 11:00 a.m. As always, kids 12 and younger are free! For tickets or more info visit UtahUtes.com.
RANKED OPPONENTS
The Utes defeated No. 13 Washington on the road a couple of weekends ago. That's the first ranked opponent Utah has beaten this season.
In the Pac 12, it doesn't get any easier as the conference has eight teams ranked in the top 25. Oregon came in at No. 14 in the latest AVCA rankings and will be the sixth ranked opponent the Utes have played this season and will be the fourth opponent that Utah has played in the top 15.
BLOCK PARTY
The Utes had 21.0 blocks against the Cal Bears. That is the first time the Utes have surpassed 20 blocks since 2013 when Utah did it against Arizona.
Leading the way was Kennedi Evans. She had 15.0 blocks against the Golden Bears, which is the second most in program history and the most ever in a five-set match.
The 15.0 blocks is also the most in a five-set match across the NCAA this season.
The Utah program record is held by Lori Baird, who had 16.0 in a three-set match against BYU in 2008.
A LOOK AHEAD
Utah will be back on the road traveling to Arizona State on Friday, October 19 and then will face Arizona on Sunday, October 21.
