SALT LAKE CITY – Utah junior golfer
Mitchell Schow has been named the Utah Golf Association 2018 Men's Player of the Year.

Garrett Clegg said. "Mitch had a lot to prove this year. He didn't play to his potential his sophomore year and wanted to prove himself this season. He has pushed himself extremely hard and this is a huge honor. Congratulations to him!"
Schow won the Richard C. Kramer Salt Lake City Amateur in June as well as the Sand Hollow Amateur and he tied for first at the Bountiful Amateur. He played in 17 qualifying events during the year and several high finishes carried him to the No. 1 ranking in the UGA's Player Performance Rating.
Schow's best finish this fall in collegiate play came at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational where he finished fifth with a score of 3-under par (213). He has a 73.8 scoring average through 12 rounds this season.
Schow is from Ogden, Utah, and went to Park City High School. Through three seasons with the Utes, Schow has a 73.8 scoring average.
