2018 Camp Kyle: Day 13 At Eccles Football Center

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah football fall camp is winding down as they wrapped up the 13thpractice of fall camp. Utah will have three more practices before school starts on Aug. 20.Â
It has been a full camp for the Utes this fall with head coach Kyle Whittingham being pleased with their overall progress.Â

With another week of training came another episode of "Real Talk With Reggie." This week, Reggie chatted with freshman Andrew Mata'afa, a three-star recruit out of San Diego, Calif.Â

With camp winding down, several Utes were awarded their helmet logos, a tradition for Utah football.Â

While they may not be participating in Utah fall camp anymore, several former Utes have been creating headlines for their respective teams in the NFL in preseason play.

Media Observation Highlights
- Donavan Thompson and Chase Hansen had some huge tackles at the linebacker position for no gain.Â
- Jackson Cravens put some heat on the quarterback with heavy pressure along with Marquise Blair.Â
- Armand Shyne looked in strong form with hard-nosed runs down the middle and solid cuts on the outside.Â
- Chase Hansen looked mobile with his ability to rush the quarterback or to drop back for coverage.Â
- Siaosi Mariner put on a clinic with multiple 20-plus yard touchdowns, including a diving catch with heavy coverage on him.Â
- Jason Shelley and Tyler Huntley both looked to have great vision of the field today with good decision making.Â
- Marquise Blair had an interception in the end zone.Â

- Kylie Fitts had four total tackles (1.0 sack, 1.0 TFL) for the Chicago Bears against the Baltimore Ravens in the Bears first game. He also had a tackle against the Cincinnati Bengals.Â
- Jared Norris racked up four tackles for the Carolina Panthers against the Buffalo Bills. In the same game, Kaelin Clay had two receptions for the Bills for 12 yards.Â
- Marcus Williams had two tackles for the New Orleans Saints against the Jacksonville Jaguars with Hunter Dimick also picking up a tackle for Jacksonville.Â
- Nate Orchard had three passes defended for the Cleveland Browns against the New York Giants.Â
- Eric Rowe had three tackles for the New England Patriots against the Washington Redskins.Â
- Dominique Hatfield notched a tackle for the L.A. Rams against the Baltimore Ravens.Â
- Joe Williams had 11 carries for 27 yards and a touchdown for the San Francisco 49ers with Pita Taumoepenu grabbing two tackles (1.0 TFL) against the Dallas Cowboys.
- Derrick Shelby had one tackle for loss for the Atlanta Falcons against the New York Jets.Â
- Devontae Booker had two carries for seven yards for the Denver Broncos against the Minnesota Vikings with Tim Patrick coming down with three catches for 25 yards.Â
- Pasoni Tasini had a tackle and a quarterback hurry for the Arizona Cardinals as they took on the L.A. Chargers. Â
