Utes In The Pros: Week One Recap

SALT LAKE CITY – As the Utes head into week three of the regular season, several former Utes are getting their chance to shine in week two of the 2018 NFL season.
Utah has 23 former players on current NFL rosters (53-man, practice, injured/reserve), one more from last week after Nate Orchard signed a one-year deal with Buffalo.

The Debut of former No. 1 NFL Draft pick Alex Smith for Washington was highly anticipated and didn't disappoint. In his first start with his new team, the La Mesa, Calif. native threw for 255 yards (21-of-30) and two touchdowns. Marcus Williams also had a strong game in week one for the New Orleans Saints, finishing second on the team with six tackles.
