Getting to Know U: Kennedy Powell

Learn more about incoming freshman Kennedy Powell in the latest of our newcomer "Getting to Know U" series. Powell, who hails from Roosevelt, Utah, is in her first season with the Utah cross country squad.
Q: What about Utah stood out to you during the recruiting process?
A: I was impressed by how welcoming the coaches were and how invested they are in my happiness and training. I was also impressed by the facilities and how nice they are.
Q: What's your favorite thing about Salt Lake City?
A: I love how everything is so close. I don't have to drive 30 minutes to buy groceries or anything like that.
Q: If you were not running cross country/ track for the U, what sport would you play?
A: I can't dive, but I would love to be on the dive team.
Q: If you hosted a late night talk show, who would your first guest be?
A: Grayson Murphy
Q: What is your favorite food? What food do you not like at all?
A: My favorite food is either steak or cheesecake … and I really hate eggs.
Q: What's the most used emoji on your phone?
A: The crying/laughing emoji.
Q: What is your all-time favorite movie? TV show?
A: My all-time favorite TV show is "Friends" and my favorite movie is "Unbroken".

A: "Best Kept Secrets"
