SALT LAKE CITY – After dropping the first two sets, No. 18 Utah volleyball completed its comeback against the USC Trojans (20-25, 19-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-11) to cap off a perfect weekend in the Huntsman Center.

The last time the Utes came back from two sets down to win was in 2016 against Missouri.

Kenzie Koerber was steady throughout leading Utah with 18 kills hitting .432 on the afternoon. In all, Utah had four players that reached double-figure kills as
Dani Drews had 17,
Berkeley Oblad had 12 and
Zoe Weatherington had 10.

USC took it to Utah in the first two sets, but the Utes came out of the locker room in the third ready to go. Utah went up five quickly at 9-4 and held that lead not letting the Trojans get back in it.

In the fourth set, Utah got rolling again early once again grabbing a five-point lead. Once the Utes got going, USC couldn't get back in the set as Utah evened things up pushing it to a fifth.

After hitting below .100 in the first two sets, Utah's offense found another level hitting .462 in the third set and .486 in the fourth set.

Riding a wave of momentum, Utah won the first five points in the fifth with
Megan Yett serving. The Trojans weathered the storm though, eventually tying the score back up at eight forcing Utah to use a timeout. With a slim lead, the Utes scored four of the final five points capping off the great comeback with an ace from
Brianna Doehrmann.

This win marks just the second time in program history that Utah has swept the LA schools in the same weekend. The first time was back in 2014. This puts Utah at 13-4 and 5-1 in Pac-12 play.

Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres set a new career high and had her first 50-assist match finishing with 52. Her 35
th assist of the match was her 1,000 career assist. Ka'aha'aina-Torres also had 14 digs.

With the Utes sweeping the weekend, they have now won four matches in a row going back to defeating Arizona last week. Utah will look to stay hot on the road next week as they take on Cal on Friday, October 18 and Stanford on Sunday, October 20.
