Getting To Know U: Kaitlyn Mercer

Learn more about freshman Kaitlyn Mercer in the latest edition of our "Getting To Know U" series. From Aurora, Colo., Mercer attended Grandview High School and as a senior captured a fourth-place finish in the NXR Southwest Regional Championships with a season-best time of 18:36.1. In 2017, Mercer was the Centennial League cross country champion and would go on to earn fourth-place in the 5A Region 2 Championships and then a top-10 finish in the 5A state championships.
Mercer is the daughter of Mark and Brenda Mercer and is majoring in nursing.

A: I like to watch Grey's Anatomy.
Q: What's your favorite drink?
A: I enjoy black tea.
Q: What's your favorite type of food?
A: Definitely Italian food.
Q: What's the last book you read?
A: The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon.
Q: What do you wish you knew more about?
A: I wish I knew more about space.
Q: What would be your ultimate vacation?
A: I'd love to go to France. I've never been to Europe so that would be really cool.

A: I love this team and the training that we do.
