Dan Little Earns Second Pac-12 Player Of The Week Honor

SALT LAKE CITY – Senior men's tennis athlete Dan Little has been named the Pac-12 Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced today. This is Little's second Pac-12 honor this season and Utah's third.

The London, England, native has been a mainstay for the Utes at the No. 1 singles position and this past week was no different. The Utes took on San Francisco, No. 46 California and No. 12 Stanford with Little coming away from the week undefeated in singles, including another top-125 win.

Little got things started with a two-set win over Ryan Marker of San Francisco, beating him 7-5, 6-1 on April 4. He took down Yuta Kikuchi of Cal to get another Pac-12 win on April 6, winning 6-4, 6-2.

On Senior Day with family and friends there to witness it, Little was able to pick up a 6-3, 6-2 win over No. 47 Alexandre Rotsaert of Stanford, putting the Utes up 2-0 against the No. 12 Cardinal. The Utes went on to claim a huge 4-2 win over Stanford that day.

Little is now 6-1 this season against ranked opponents in dual play, ranking No. 42 nationally in the latest ITA polls. With his 20+ wins this season, he has now eclipsed the 90-career wins mark, sitting with 92 wins with two more matches to go.

Little and the No. 45 Utes will return to action this week for their regular season finales at Arizona on Friday, April 12 and at Arizona State on Saturday, April 13.
