Two-game home-and-home series begins in 2026 at Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah—The Utah football program has scheduled a future home-and-home football series with Arkansas, hosting Arkansas in 2026 and playing at Arkansas in 2028, the schools jointly announced today.
The two-game agreement will begin Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026 at Utah's Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Utes will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to face the Razorbacks Saturday, Sept. 16, 2028. The two programs have never met on the gridiron.
"We appreciate the opportunity to put together an agreement with Arkansas for our football programs to play one another in 2026 and 2028," said Utah Director of Athletics Mark Harlan. "We will continue to look at the premier programs in the country as we build out our future schedules to bring value to our football program and to our fanbase."
The Utes' Sept. 12 home game in 2026 against Arkansas is the second the program has scheduled for that season. Utah is scheduled to open the 2026 campaign Sept. 5 at Houston. The return game at Arkansas in 2028 is the first scheduled for Utah in that season, and is the furthest in the future the program has a game scheduled to date.
Utah now has 20 non-conference games scheduled between 2020 and 2028, including full three-game non-conference slates locked in through 2024. To see all future games scheduled, click here.
Under the direction of 15th-year head coach Kyle Whittingham, Utah will open the 2019 season Thursday, Aug. 29 at BYU. The Utes' home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7 vs. Northern Illinois. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m.
