In-venue experience is area of focus for game-day atmosphere at Rice-Eccles Stadium
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah—Game days at Rice-Eccles Stadium will be better than ever in 2019. The Utes have sold out 57 consecutive home football games, dating back to 2010, and Utah's Athletics Department administration continues to focus on enhancing the experience to continue to make the in-stadium environment the best way to watch the Utes.
The 2019 schedule features seven home games, highlighted by Pac-12 contests against Washington State, Arizona State, California, UCLA and Colorado. The home opener is scheduled for Sept. 7 when Northern Illinois visits Salt Lake City for an 11 a.m. MT kickoff.
"We are trying to create the best atmosphere in the nation for a college football game," said Director of Athletics Mark Harlan. "We have tremendous support from such a large, passionate fan base, and we want to continue to enhance their experience to reinforce the message that the absolute best way to see the Utes play is in person at Rice-Eccles Stadium. You have to be there—with friends, family and fellow Ute fans—to experience it in the most immersive and memorable way possible."
