Finding Football Growing up, my parents had a really strict schedule for us to go to sleep. I think I was four years old and it was the Super Bowl.
My dad was out in the living room watching it and I remember that I would peek my head out and try to see the TV, thinking I was going unnoticed, but he did notice me. He let me come out and watch the game. It was the first time he let me do that.
That was when I fell in love with the sport. I knew it was something I wanted to do and something I wanted to be good at.
I grew up playing basketball, rugby and baseball. There was a time I wanted to quit football though. I was just going to focus on baseball and basketball, but then one of my high school coaches took me to a football camp and I got my first offer.
I thought to myself, "oh man, maybe I am pretty good." I knew then that I needed to stick with it and keep playing.
I'm glad I picked football. I've learned so many great things from the sport and I wouldn't take back any experience that I have had. It has been an awesome experience.
