Utes in the NFL: Four Former Utes Ready For Divisional Playoff

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah will be well represented in this week's divisional round of the NFL Playoffs as four former Utes take the field in hopes of advancing their respective teams.
Mitch Wishnowsky, Cody Barton, Marquise Blair and Jackson Barton, who were a part of the 2018 Utah senior class last season, are set for the division round this week.

Saturday, Jan. 11: Minnesota at San Francisco, 2:35 p.m. MT (NBC) | Mitch Wishnowsky, San Francisco
Sunday, Jan. 12: Houston at Kansas City, 1:05 p.m. MT (CBS) | Jackson Barton, Kansas City
Sunday, Jan. 12: Seattle at Green Bay, 4:40 p.m. MT (FOX) | Cody Barton & Marquise Blair, Seattle
The Utes also had four players competing for their teams in the Wild Card round. Buffalo (Star Lotulelei) lost to Houston in the AFC Wild Card playoff and Marcus Williams and the New Orleans Saints fell to the Vikings in the NFC Wild Card game. Barton, Blair and the Seahawks advanced to the NFC Divisional playoff though with a 17-9 win over Philadelphia in the NFC Wild Card game. Â

The Utes finished the regular season with 17 players on active rosters with three players listed on the reserve or injured lists of their teams.
Utah had 10 different players start at least two games this season with Garett Bolles (Denver), Star Lotulelei (Buffalo), Sam Tevi (L.A. Chargers), Eric Weddle (L.A. Rams) and Marcus Williams (New Orleans) earning the starting nod in every game they appeared in.
