Lisk Named Semifinalist For William V. Campbell Trophy

IRVING, Texas – Utah football senior and quarterback Drew Lisk has been named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, announced today by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF).
Lisk is one of 199 semifinalists for the award, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. The NFF will announce 12 to 14 finalists in November, and each of them will receive $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2020 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class with one winner of the 31st Campbell Trophy.

"Drew is a great leader in the Utah football program," offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Andy Ludwig said. "His work ethic, intelligence, and competitiveness sets the standard on the football field and in the classroom."
Nominees must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of playing eligibility, have a GPA of at least 3.20, have outstanding football ability and has demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
Lisk graduated with a degree in kinesiology in the spring of 2020 and is looking to pursue a Master's of Science in finance. He was a member of the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll last season, also earning a spot on the Utah Dean's List four times and the A.D. Honor Roll eight times.

The Draper, Utah, native started his career with the Utes as a walk-on, earning a scholarship in the summer of 2018. He was listed as the co-No. 2 quarterback on the depth chart in 2019, seeing action in four games which included going a perfect 6-for-6 passing and 38 yards against Idaho State.
Off the field, Lisk has been active in the Salt Lake City community, volunteering at elementary schools and disabled adults facilities. He graduated from the Ute Academy in 2019, a group in the athletic department that focuses on the development of student-athletes, and has also attended multiple networking nights, career advising meetings and development workshops.
