Trhac and Bugarikj Advance at the ITA National Fall Championships

The Ute's doubles duo advanced to the quarterfinals following their second win in the tournament
SAN DIEGO – The University of Utah men's tennis team continued winning at the ITA National Fall Championships. The doubles duo of Patrik Trhac and Berk Bugarikj advanced to the Quarterfinals on Thursday night.
 The Ute's duo matched up with Andrew Fenty and Gavin Young of Michigan. The Utes and Wolverines were in a battle in a highly contested first set. The first set went 6-6 before the Ute's duo won the tiebreaker 7-5, taking the first set 7-6 (5).
 Genty and Young battle back in the second set and claimed the second set, 6-3, forcing a tiebreaker.
 The Michigan duo jumped out to an early lead in the tiebreaker, but the Ute's pair of Trhac and Burgarikj battled back. The set was tied multiple times, but Michigan had a 9-8 lead looking for the win, but Utah's team tied the tiebreaker at 9-9.
 Michigan's team then again took a 10-9 lead and was serving to look for the win. Again, Trhac and Burgarikj stayed alive and won the next three points, winning the match and advancing to the quarterfinals of the doubles draw.
 Utah's double team will be back in action tomorrow in the quarterfinals when they take on Sebastian Rodriguez and Alan Magadan of UTSA.
