Pac-12 Conference Announces TV & Game Times For First Three Weeks of 2023 Football Season

SAN FRANCISCO – The 2023 University of Utah Football season will officially start at 6 p.m. MT on Thursday, Aug. 31 as the Utes take on the Florida Gators in Rice-Eccles Stadium, as the Pac-12 Conference announced the television schedule for the first three weeks of the year today.
The Utes and the Gators will kickoff the year on ESPN, hosting Florida for its first non-conference road game outside of the Sunshine State since 1991. Utah is 77-51-1 all-time in season openers, only losing three in the last 16 seasons.
In week two, Utah is one of seven Pac-12 schools slated for a Power Five non-conference matchup; the Utes will travel to Waco, Texas, to take on the Baylor Bears on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Utes and the Bears will play at 10 a.m. MT/11 a.m. CT on ESPN, marking the first time since 2007 that Utah's first two non-conference opponents were from the Power Five conferences.
In its final non-conference game, Utah will host the Weber State Wildcats on Saturday, Sept. 16 in Rice-Eccles Stadium at 12 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network. Utah is 6-0 all-time against Weber State with all six wins coming in Salt Lake City.
The Pac-12 also announced "special date" games with the Utes' Friday night battle in Corvallis, Oregon, against Oregon State on Sept. 29 starting at 6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT.
This season, ESPN and FOX Sports will combine for 44 home and neutral games in the Pac-12, including the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 1 which will air on ABC at 5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT.
