Ray’s 8 Includes Bouwmeester Among Nation's Top Punters in Week 4

Utah punter and Ray Guy Award Watchlist honoree recognized coming off performance vs. UCLA
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Utah punter Jack Bouwmeester has been included among Ray's 8, announced by the Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award coming off Week 4 of the 2023 season.
Bouwmeester, who is also on the season-long Ray Guy Award Watchlist, had eight punts in Utah's win vs. No. 22 UCLA to begin the Pac-12 Conference schedule. Bouwmeester landed six of his eight punts inside the Bruins' 20-yard line and three inside the 10-yard line. He sailed two punts more than 50 yards.
A two-time Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week this season, Bouwmeester leads the league and ranks seventh in the nation with an average punt of 47 yards. He has shown incredible strides from a season ago, booting three punts for 60 yards or more and eight for 50-plus yards. He opened the 2023 campaign with a career-long 64-yard boot vs. Florida and another for 61 yards in the win over the Gators.
