Utes in the Pros: Postseason Begins

SALT LAKE CITY – The regular season is in the books and it's now onto the playoffs and the NFL's road to Allegiant Stadium, culminating with Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on February 11. Seven Utah Football alumni are on playoff rosters throughout the league, with six currently on active rosters and three expected to be in action on Wild Card Weekend.
Top AFC-seeded Baltimore has two Utah connections in quarterback Tyler Huntley and safety Marcus Williams as the Ravens will have a bye this weekend. Buffalo tight end Dalton Kincaid is expected to make his playoff debut in a pairing with Pittsburgh, as is linebacker Mohamoud Diabate when Cleveland travels to take on the Texans.
On the sidelines in the AFC, Kansas City begins its quest for another Vince Lombardi Trophy with Alex Whittingham now in his sixth season on staff, and fifth as defensive quality control coach. The Chiefs host Miami on Saturday at 6 p.m. MT in a game that will stream on Peacock.
Across the conferences, the San Francisco 49ers and punter Mitch Wishnowsky are also idle on Wild Card Weekend while awaiting next week's NFC Divisional Round at Levi's Stadium. The Eagles look to return to the Super Bowl with wide receiver and return specialist Britain Covey, as well as offensive coordinator Brian Johnson.

Wild Card Weekend Viewing Guide (players on active rosters)
In addition to the six Utes on active playoff rosters, safety Eric Rowe enters the playoffs on the Steelers' practice squad. Rowe was elevated to the active roster during the final three games of the regular season; it included a 12-tackle showing for Rowe in a Week 18 win at Baltimore, where Rowe also forced a fumble and broke up a pass.
