Utes in the Pros: Week 18

SALT LAKE CITY – Five NFL teams with a Utah Football connection are through to the playoffs and five more have a chance to reach the postseason entering the final week of regular season play. All told, 15 former Utes are projected to suit up in Week 18, with 25 total alumni on rosters throughout the league.
All five TV windows on the Week 18 slate will feature at least one Pro Ute.
How to watch the Utes this week
Week 18 (players on active rosters)
In addition to the Utah alumni suiting up on the field, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson is winding down his third season with the club, while Alex Whittingham is part of the Kansas City Chiefs staff as defensive quality control coach—it's his sixth season with the team and fifth in his current role.
Playoff Picture Taking Shape
Five teams with Utah alumni have already clinched a playoff spot:
Five more teams with former Utes are in the mix for the playoffs. Buffalo, Jacksonville and Indianapolis haven't officially punched their tickets yet, but would make the playoffs if the season ended today. In the NFC, both Atlanta and New Orleans still have a chance at the postseason, but would be on the outside if the playoffs started today. Eric Rowe is also on the Steelers' practice squad; Pittsburgh currently is on the AFC playoff bubble.

Pro Bowl Games
It was a very special moment for former Ute and current Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson earlier this week, as Johnson learned in a surprise that he had earned his first career invitation to the Pro Bowl Games. He is in his fourth season with the Bears, tying for the team lead with four interceptions and contributing to a team defense with an NFL-best 22 picks.
The 2024 Pro Bowl Games presented by Verizon are scheduled for February 4 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
