Utes in the Pros: Week 5

SALT LAKE CITY –A little more than a quarter of the NFL's regular season is complete as Week 5 action gets underway Thursday night. Nine games this week are slated to feature at least one Utah Football alumnus, with 25 Pro Utes throughout the NFL and 18 on active rosters.
The Buffalo Bills, leaders of the AFC East, travel to Houston this weekend with Cole Bishop and Dalton Kincaid looking to bounce back from a tough loss last Sunday night and improve to 4-1. Sataoa Laumea and the Seattle Seahawks hope to maintain their lead in the NFC West, hosting the Giants at Lumen Field.
Week 5 also brings the first set of bye weeks for teams; for the Pro Utes it means Tim Patrick and Sione Vaki are idle with the Detroit Lions off this weekend.

Two former Utes are active in the coaching world and their teams are atop their respective divisions. The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a 4-0 start and lead the AFC West with Alex Whittingham on staff as defensive quality control coach. The Chiefs host New Orleans on Monday Night Football.
In addition, Brian Johnson is on the Washington staff as assistant head coach and offensive pass game coordinator. Washington is 3-1 and atop the NFC East, with the Commanders preparing for a Sunday tilt against Cleveland.
