The Utah men's tennis team is set to come home after being on the road for six straight matches to face Idaho State and Nevada. The Utes will compete against the Bengals on Friday, Feb. 16, and against the Nevada Wolfpack on Saturday, Feb 17.  This will be the first home matches since the season opener.

LAST TIME OUT
The Utes finished their six-match road streak last weekend as they faced Louisiana and New Mexico. Despite securing doubles against Louisiana, both competitions resulted in dropped matches for Utah.
HEAD COACH ROELAND BRATEANU
Utah Head CoachÂ
Roeland Brateanu, reigning Pac-12 Coach of the Year, leads the Utes for his tenth season this spring. Under Brateanu's guidance, the Utah men claimed the Pac-12 Champions title as well as the ITA Mountain Region Champions title last spring. Brateanu boasts a 157-92 overall record.
THE UTES
The Utah roster is comprised of seven returning players.Â
Geronimo Espin Busleiman returns to compete for the Utes at the No. 1 spot after an impressive 2023 spring season.Â
Berk Bugarikj, another returnee, starts his second season with the Utes after finishing with an ITA No. 1 ranking in doubles for the Mountain Region last season.Â
Bruno Krenn also returns for the Utes, claiming his first victory at the No. 2 spot in the season opener.
Twins Jayson andÂ
Michael Blando return for their third season with the squad, currently holding a 4-3 doubles record.Â
Geremia Rossi also makes a comeback to the team for the third time this spring season, currently a 4-2 doubles match record with partnerÂ
Dylan Applegate. This is Applegate's second season with the Utes.
Gianluca Citadini is the single newcomer for the Utah team. The Argentinian national reached as high as No. 139 on the ITF Junior World Rankings and is a Grade 1 National Tournament Champion in Argentina. Citadini claimed his first regular-season collegiate win in the No. 5 spot at Utah's season opener.
SCOUTING IDAHO STATE
The Idaho State Bengals currently have a 5-4 record for the season. The team has recorded victories against Lewis-Clark State College, Colorado Mesa, Whitman College, Air Force, and North Dakota.
SCOUTING NEVADA
The Nevada Wolves are currently at 1-3 record. Their first match of the season resulted in a 4-3 win against UC San Diego. The team has since posted losses against Michigan, Memphis, and Oregon.
