Bouwmeester Named To 2024 Ray Guy Award Watch List

AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of Utah Football punter Jack Bouwmeester has been named to the 2024 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List, it was announced today.
Bouwmeester, who was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award last season, has played in 27 games as a Ute. He is one of 34 candidates for the award and is one of four representing the Big 12.
The Bendigo, Australia, native earned first-team all-conference honors in 2023 after playing in all 13 games with 55 punts for 2,503 yards (45.5 avg.). He had 20 punts land inside the 20-yard line along with 19 punts for 50-plus yards.
He was a three-time Ray's 8 recipient in 2023, also earning Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week twice. He led the Pac-12 and ranked No. 16 nationally with his 45.5 yards per punt.
Bouwmeester's 19 punts that went for 50-or-more yards last season were the most by a Ute since 2018 after having just one in 2022.
He was also the primary punter in all 14 games in 2022, averaging 39.2 yards on 39 punts with 17 landing inside the 20-yard line. Bouwmeester transferred to Utah from Michigan State after ranking as the No. 6 punting prospect out of ProKick Australia.
