SALT LAKE CITY – The 2024 Utah cross country schedule was officially unveiled on Monday as the Women of Utah return four of their top-5 scorers from last year's NCAA Championships team that placed 13th-overall.
Head coach
Kyle Kepler, who begins his 20th season at the helm, will once again usher the Women of Utah into a new home – this time the Big 12 Conference.
Utah will once again open its cross country season at the UVU Invitational on Friday, Aug. 30, at Scera Park. Gun is scheduled to go off at 10 a.m. (MDT) for the women's race.
The Women of Utah also return to the
Nuttycombe Invitational (Sept. 27), but this time at an earlier date than usual with Wisconsin playing host to Pre-Nats and the NCAA Championships. The women's "A" race is schedule to go off at 11:20 a.m. (MDT) and 12:20 p.m. (CDT) at the Zimmer Championship Course.
A couple weeks later, the Utes make their return to the
Bill Dellinger Invitational after a three-year hiatus on Friday, Oct. 11. Utah last ran at the Dellinger back in 2021 when it captured the team championship. Scheduled start for the women's race is set to begin at 1 p.m. (MDT) / 12 p.m. (PDT) at the Pine Ridge Golf Club.
On that same day as the Dellinger Invitational, a select group will head north up I-15 to compete at the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational on Friday, Oct. 11.
Utah then returns home to host the annual Utah Open on Thursday, Oct. 24, to close out the regular-season.
The Utes will make their first Big 12 Conference Championships appearance on Friday, Nov. 1, at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco, Texas, hosted by the Baylor Bears.
Two weeks later the Women of Utah head to Reno, Nev., for the NCAA Mountain Regionals on Friday, Nov. 15, where they'll compete in the toughest regional in the nation. Should the Utes not finish in the top-2 at the mountain regionals, they'll find out if they earned an at-large berth on Selection Saturday (Nov. 16).
Utah will then have a few days in SLC to prepare for the NCAA Championships (Nov. 23) should it qualify before heading back to the Zimmer Championship Course.
