FORMER FOES
Wednesday will serve as the third time Utah and TCU have squared off in the same conference. The two programs first squared off in 1996-97 as members of the WAC before reuniting once again in the Mountain West starting in the 2005-06 campaign. The Runnin' Utes are 11-2 overall against the Horned Frogs in conference action – including a 6-0 mark at home and 4-2 record on the road. Two of those 11 victories over TCU also occurred during the conference tournament.
PERFECT NIGHT
Jake Wahlin's return to the starting line-up was nothing short of spectacular for the sophomore, who scored a career-high 16 points on the evening against Oklahoma State while shooting a perfect 1.000. The 6-10 forward went 5-for-5 from the field – three of which came from beyond the arc while also knocking down all three shots at the charity stripe.
AUSAR ASCENDS
Ezra Ausar had an efficient night offensively for Utah and arguably his best game so far as a Ute. The Atlanta, Ga., product finished with a new season-high and game-high 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting and 4 boards on top of a 7-for-8 night at the line in just 17 minutes of action.
DAWES DOES DAMAGE
Keanu Dawes was hot off the bench for Utah last week against Oklahoma State, scoring a season-high 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting and was just shy of a double-double with 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The 6-9 forward had a 70 second stretch he electrified the crowd with three-consecutive dunks on three-straight offensive possessions.
UP NEXT
The 265th edition of the Red vs. Blue rivalry is on tap as Utah and BYU square off once again as conference opponents this Saturday, Jan. 18, inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Roxy Bernstein will guide fans through the action alongside Tim Welsh on

LOOKING AHEAD
Utah will once again hit the road after its rivalry game and heads back to the state of Texas, this time a Tuesday evening match-up against #10/8 Houston starting at 6 p.m. (MST) inside the Fertitta Center. Pete Sousa will have the reigns on
ESPN+ as Utah makes its first-ever trip down to Houston while former Phi Slama Jama guard Reid Gettys serves as the analyst on the broadcast.
