Utes front paved way to six rushing touchdowns in win over Arizona State
SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah football offensive front has been named the Big 12 Offensive Line of the Week after a dominant performance in a win over then-No. 21 Arizona State on Saturday, the conference announced on Monday.
Â
It's the second weekly honor this season Utah's offensive line has been awarded by the Big 12.
The Utes' big guys up front paved the way to six rushing touchdowns in the 42-10 win over the Sun Devils at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Utah controlled the line of scrimmage all night, powering the offense to 276 yards rushing.
Â
It was the fifth time in program history Utah has scored at least six rushing touchdowns in one game, while the offensive line also didn't allow a sack to ASU.
Â
Utah's offensive line has been dominant through the first six games of the season. The Utes are 8th in the FBS in rushing offense (248.2 ypg, 1st Big 12), 4th in the FBS in sacks allowed (0.50 spg, 2nd Big 12) and 6th in the FBS in tackles for loss allowed (3.17 pg, 1st Big 12).  Â
