Utes Claim 4-2 Win Over Osprey

SEATTLE – The University of Utah men's tennis team picked up a 4-2 win over North Florida Saturday afternoon. The Utes are now 3-1 overall on the season.Â
DOUBLES
Utah struggled to get things going in the doubles play dropping the doubles point. The Osprey picked up wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Dante Teramo and Reid Jarvis were locked at 5-5 in the No. 1 spot before it went unfinished.
SINGLESÂ
Utah found its spark in singles play quickly getting wins in the No. 5 and No. 1 spot. Jarvis defeated Lorenzo Messina 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 5 spot to start things off. Berk Bugarikj then defeated Andreas Scott 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot.Â
North Florida picked up a win at the No. 6 spot to make the overall match score tied at 2-2. Max Relic then defeated Youssef Labbene 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 3 spot to give the overall match score back in favor of the Utes.Â
Teramo cliniched the match for the Utes defeating Gianlucfa Filoramo 6-3, 7-6 (7). Emmett Potter picked up 7-6 (8) win in the first set and ws down 3-2 in his second set before the match went unfinished. Â
