SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
The Washington Huskies are currently 3-0 overall on the season. The Huskies most recently posted a 7-0 win against the Gonzaga Bulldogs after two 4-0 wins earlier this month against Seattle University and Portland State. The last time Utah and Washington met was during the 2023-24 season, in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament, where the Utes fell short to finish their season in an 0-4 loss. Washington posts an 11-5 record against Utah, and a 4-3 record at home in Seattle against the Utes.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
The North Florida Ospreys are currently 1-2 in the 2025 season. The Ospreys are coming out of a two-game losing streak after falling 0-4 to both No. 10 Florida State and No. 16 South Carolina in the ITA Kickoff on Jan. 24 and 25. This is the first time the Ospreys will face the Utes.
SCOUTING THE PILOTS
The Portland Pilots have kicked off their season 2-0 overall after posting wins against Utah State (4-3) and the University of Idaho (5-2). The Pilots' last encounter with the Utes dates back to 2002 in Salt Lake City, where Portland fell short with a 2-5 defeat.
LAST TIME OUT
The Utes split a doubleheader with Idaho State, securing a 4-3 victory in the first match and dominating the second. In match one, Utah rallied after losing the doubles point, with Dante Teramo, Reid Jarvis, and Berk Bugarikj securing singles wins. Max Relic clinched the victory with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 triumph on court three.
In the second match, Utah claimed the doubles point and carried the momentum into singles play. Emmett Potter, Nicolas Calixto, and Reid Jarvis each earned straight-set victories, securing the overall win before three matches were left unfinished with Utah in control.
HEAD COACH ROELAND BRATEANU
Utah Head Coach Roeland Brateanu, the 2023 Pac-12 Coach of the Year and a five-time ITA Mountain Region Coach of the Year, leads the Utes for his eleventh season this spring. Under Brateanu's leadership, the Utah men captured the 2023 Pac-12 Regular Season title and secured their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance, advancing to its second consecutive second round appearance with a win over Old Dominion. The Utes finished with a 24-6 overall record and a No. 1 ranking in the ITA Mountain Region. Brateanu currently holds a 183-106 overall record at Utah.
