SEATTLE - The University of Utah men's tennis team played their first match on the road, falling to the Washington Huskies 4-0 and moving the Utes' record to 2-1.
Utah faced early complications in doubles competition. Washington picked up victories over Utah on the No. 2 and No. 3 court to claim the doubles point, while the remaining match was left unfinished.
In singles, the Huskies grabbed wins at No. 2 and No. 6. The match was clinched on court No. 3 as the Huskies claimed the 4-0 victory.Â
Reid Jarvis won 6-4 in his first set in the fifth spot, and was tied in the second set 3-3 when the match was clinched. Berk Bugarikj dropped his first set 6-4 and was leading his second set 5-3 before it went unfinished.Â
UP NEXT The Utes will face North Florida at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, before taking on the Portland Pilots on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m.
