Offense Rallies Past Defense In 22 Forever Game

Utes Close Spring Workouts In Rice-Eccles Stadium
SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah football team closed out 2025 spring workouts with the 22 Forever Game on a beautiful spring afternoon at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday. The offense rallied past the defense to come out with a 42-38 victory, allowing several newcomers and underclassmen to get their first game experience as a Ute.Â

Utah's defense was impressive in the first half, leading the game 26-14 as the two sides went to the locker room.Â

Newcomers Devon Dampier and NaQuari Rogers recorded explosive plays plays for the offense after settling into the game.Â

The Utes open the 2025 season on Saturday, Aug. 30 at UCLA. Utah opens the home slate on Saturday, Sept. 6 vs. Cal Poly.  Â
