STANFORD – The Utah track & field team closed out its day at Cobb Track and Angell Field with nearly a handful of new marks in the school record book at the Stanford Invitational.

In the early session,
Grace Moroney went out an ran a new PR in her section of the 1500m race and posted a mark of 4:24.33 while freshman
Lauren Ayers ran her first 1500m race with a time of 4:25.22 in the same section.

Emily Chaston opened up the afternoon session for Utah by taking third in her section of the 3000m steeplechase thanks to a new PR run of 10:10.88. Teammate
Sona Kourilova, who was in the same race, posted a top-10 finished after she crossed the finish line at 10:27.58.

In the later rounds of the 1500m race,
Erin Vringer ran the fastest time among the bunch in the fastest heat and recorded a time of 4:14.90 for fourth.
Millie Wilcox ran the second-fastest mark of the day for Utah after crushing her previous PR time by 25 seconds with run of 4:15.73 – which was good for fifth all-time at Utah.

Bri Rinn won a neck-and-neck finish to claim the section victory when she crossed the finish line with a new personal best mark of 4:16.55 to improve her hold on the No. 6 spot all-time at Utah. Running in the same heat,
Kyla Martin also notched a new PB after posting 4:20.34 for fourth-overall in the section.

Utah's 10k trio closed out the night on The Farm with senior
Morgan Jensen finishing eighth-overall thanks to a PR run of 32:33.52 – moving her up three spots to No. 2 on the all-time list. Teammate
McKaylie Caesar inserted herself into the No. 3 slot on the all-time list after she finished with a PR mark of 33:05.56.
Clara Mayfield also set a new personal best time on Friday night, running 33:23.41 to wrap up a long day on the track for the Women of Utah.

UP NEXT
The distance team will finish out its time at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday when the 800m runners take the track. Meanwhile, the sprints team begins their day of competition down in Los Angeles at the Rafer Johnson / Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational hosted by UCLA.
