Utah Soccer announced the addition of Liz Bogus as an assistant coach in January 2017. With 12 years of professional soccer on her resume, the two-time NWSL winner and USL W-League champion, brings experience and success to the Ute program.
A Provo native that played at Brighton High School in Sandy, Bogus was named offensive MVP all three years, scoring 79 career goals and providing 27 assists. In 2002, Bogus was named Gatorade Utah High School Player of the Year and was a USSSA honorable mention All-American.
 
She attended fellow Pac-12 school Arizona State and made an immediate mark. She was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2002 and was a finalist for Soccer Buzz Magazine's National Freshman of the Year.
 
Bogus finished her career at ASU ranked second in goals (31) and points (80) and third in game-winning goals (12) and assists (18). As a senior, Bogus was in the inaugural class of Pat Tillman Scholars at ASU
 
In 2005, Bogus represented her country, suiting up for the United States U-21 National Team
 
Bogus won a USL W-League title with Pali Blues and was subsequently drafted by FC Gold Pride in the 2008 WPS General Draft. She also suited up for the Los Angeles Sol and Boston Breakers.
 
In 2012, Bogus played in Finland with PK-35 Vantaa and helped them capture a Naisten Liiga championship and domestic cup.
 
In 2013, Bogus was picked by Seattle Reign FC in the 2013 NWSL Supplemental Draft and then suited up for FC Kansas City in 2014 where she went on to win a pair of NWSL championships.
