HOUSTON, Texas (AP) - Charonda Wilson scored 19 points and went 6-for-6 from the free throw line to lead Rice to a 59-48 victory over 18th-ranked Utah on Friday night.
Kirra Jordan led her team with nine rebounds and added 13 points, while Maria Brumfield had 14 for the Owls (19-7, 12-3 Western Athletic Conference).
The Owls led 27-22 at the halftime, and outscored the Utes 32-26 in the second half.
Lindsay Sodja had 17 points and Julie Krommenhoek had 16 points for the Utes (11-4, 18-8).
Alli Bills led Utah with nine rebounds.
