Iowa hopes it doesn't regret giving up home-court advantage as it takes on Utah in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
As the fourth seed, the Hawkeyes would have been at home for the first and second rounds, but Carver-Hawkeye Arena is currently staging the NCAA wrestling championships.
Now Iowa takes on the team that benefited.
The Utes are hosting the first and second rounds for the first time. They capitalized on that advantage Saturday in a 79-57 first-round win over Fairfield.
Kristina Andersen scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Utah, which advanced past the first round for just the second time in 11 NCAA appearances.
Amy Ewert added 15 points, seven assists and five steals for the Utes.
Utah, which leads the nation in scoring defense, stood out on the offensive end with 56 percent shooting, including 64 percent in the second half. The Ute starters shot 27-of-39 from the field.
Utah now has 27 wins, the highest total in school history.
Iowa scored the first six points of overtime, capped by Cara Consuegra's driving layup, to defeat Oregon 89-82 in the first round of the NCAA Midwest subregional Saturday.
Lindsey Meder, who finished with 25 points for Iowa, hit a 3-pointer with 13.4 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 74 and send it into overtime.
The Hawkeyes have won six straight and 13 of their last 14.
Utah defeated Iowa 66-42 in Iowa City on Nov. 19, and leads the all-time series 3-1.
The winner faces either Notre Dame or Michigan in the regional semifinals Saturday.
