SALT LAKE CITY - University of Utah head women's basketball coach Elaine Elliott has received a National Letter of Intent from Heidi Carlsen of Dixie High School in St. George, Utah.
"Heidi is a very motivated and confident player, anxious to compete here," Elliott said. "She will fit wonderfully into the group we have now and help our program move forward."
A two-time all-state and all-region selection, Carlsen is a 5-9 point guard. She averaged 19.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game and was named her team MVP as a senior.
Carlsen is the daughter of Rod and Marci Carlsen of St. George.
