SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team has been picked No. 13 nationally in the SLAM Magazine Top 15 preseason poll released today.

The Utes return all five starters from last year's squad that went 24-7 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to then-No. 1 Duke.

The 2003-04 Utes will be led by sophomore Kim Smith, the reigning Mountain West Conference Player of the Year and one of 35 players nationally on the Wade Trophy watch list. Utah also returns second-team all-MWC guard Shona Thorburn and honorable mention pick Carley Marshall.
