Utah-Michigan State Fast Breaks
> This is only the second-ever meeting on the hardwood between the Utah women's basketball team and Michigan State.
> Utah won its only contest against the Spartans by a tally of 63-62 back on March 24, 1977 in Minneapolis, Minn.
> The first meeting between the Utes and Michigan State was part of the AIAW National Championship tournament.
> The first time these two teams met was just the third season of women's basketball at the U. The legendary Fern Gardner was the head coach of that squad, which finished 26-3. Two of the 1976-77 team's losses came at the AIAW National Championship tournament.
