COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah forward/center Mandie Little has been named Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, marking her first career award.
A 6-0 senior from Independence, Ore., Little scored a career-high 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field in a victory over Brigham Young Saturday. She also grabbed five offensive rebounds which led to six second-chance points for the Utes, and tallied a block and an assist in 28 minutes. Little entered the game averaging 7.3 points per game.
Little and the Utes close out the regular season with home games against UNLV and San Diego State this Thursday and Saturday.
