SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's basketball team hosts Montana-Western in a 7 p.m. exhibition contest Thursday night at the Huntsman Center.

Seniors Kim Smith and Shona Thorburn, who shared Mountain West Conference Player of the Year honors last season, return to lead the Utes. Smith averaged 17.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game last season, leading the MWC in both categories. Thorburn averaged 14.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in 2004-05. She also led the MWC and was ranked No. 6 in the nation, dishing out 6.5 assists per contest.
