SALT LAKE CITY -- University of Utah head women's basketball coach Elaine Elliott has announced that freshmen Sarah Red and Stephanie Red have left the team.
"Sarah and Stephanie have decided they do not want to continue playing basketball," Elliott said. "They will stay and complete their academic year at Utah. Both have been superb teammates and contributors to Utah basketball. If they change their minds and decide to pursue basketball at a later date, they have my complete support."
Sarah Red had seen action in eight games, while Stephanie Red had taken part in five.
