SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's basketball team had two of its student-athletes honored by the Mountain West Conference today, recognizing them with the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Honored were: Camie Allen, So., 3.50, Secondary Education; and Deanne Hanchett, Fr., 3.60, Undeclared.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have competed in at least one varsity contest in their respective sport.
