SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's basketball team saw six of its student athletes named to the Mountain West Conference all-academic team for spring 2005.

To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

Named to the team were: Camie Allen, So., 3.50, Secondary Education; Shauna Brouillard, So., 3.30, Exercise & Sport Science; Deanne Hanchett, Fr., 3.60, Undeclared; Kim Smith, Jr., 3.30, Speech Communication; Lana Sitterud, Sr., 3.10, Mass Communication; Marie Warner, Fr., 3.30, Business.
