On the Road Again; Utes Travel to TCU Saturday As the Mountain West Conference season nears the midway point, the University of Utah women's basketball team has an important road game Saturday. The Utes travel to face TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.
Both Utah and the Lady Frogs are 4-2 in the MWC and two games out of first place. Neither team wants to fall further behind at this point in the season.
Utah is coming off a mid-week bye, while TCU dropped a 67-64 decision at home to league-leading BYU Wednesday night. TCU led 35-28 at halftime, but was outscored 39-29 by the Cougars in the second half.
TCU is paced by three players who average double-figure scoring. Natasha Lacy is the Lady Frogs' top scorer, tallying 13.5 points per game. Adrianne Ross and Ashley Davis add 13.1 and 12.5, respectively. Lacy is also the top rebounder on the squad, pulling down 7.6 caroms per contest.
In TCU's two Mountain West Conference losses, the Lady Frogs have fallen by an average of two points. They dropped their opener, 68-67, to Wyoming and fell by three to BYU earlier this week.
